About Wyatt Cowan

At age 24, Wyatt Cowan works at two family-run businesses. He is an international buyer at Acclaim Electronics LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada, which supplies products and parts to large corporations in the high-tech industry. He is also the office assistant at CC Properties LLC, another family-operated business.

Wyatt acquired his interest in the business from watching his father run Acclaim Electronics and from the family rental property business. This led him to study business at university and join both companies.

Wyatt’s Work at Acclaim Electronics LLC

Acclaim Electronics LLC is a distributor of semiconductors, electronic components, computer products, hardware, equipment, software, hard drives, CPUs, LCDs, monitors, keyboards, tools, electronic products, and industrial supplies. The company is also a leader in buying and stocking excess material, working closely with each customer to design excess-inventory solutions that meet their specific needs.

Wyatt has worked at Acclaim Electronics as an international purchaser for three years. He helps run the business and provides excellent customer support by ensuring the inventory is managed correctly for just-in-time deliveries. His responsibilities include purchasing inventory from around the globe, sending purchase orders, keeping track of inventory and orders, prepping inventory in the warehouse to be shipped, reviewing packing slips, preparing and delivering packages to local businesses, and ensuring the slips are signed by the customers and submitting copies to the company’s Accounting Department.

Wyatt’s position involves a keen attention to detail, which is critical in providing and maintaining quality customer service.

Improving Downtown Las Vegas with the Team at CC Properties

CC Properties specializes in the residential rental property market. Wyatt has worked at CC Properties for seven years. His responsibilities include inspecting properties for repairs and maintenance, coordinating supply deliveries to the workers for repairs and projects, purchasing property supplies, traveling to properties for rent collection, and performing light bookkeeping tasks.

The CC Properties team has been improving the area by working with local artists to paint
murals on some of its properties. The company has also established an extensive remodeling program, which has inspired other property owners to make repairs as well. The company’s efforts have improved the quality of life for the tenants and homeowners in the older sections of Las Vegas and the city of Henderson.

As part of this effort, Wyatt directly works with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas City Council members and staff, and staff members of the Clark County Commissioner to pressure the local government agencies to improve the areas by lowering the crime rate, reducing illegal drug sales, painting over graffiti, and reducing homelessness.

Wyatt’s efforts with the city have made positive changes. Most recently, Wyatt and the CC Properties team delivered gourmet pizzas and salads from the famous Pizza Rock to the Las Vegas Metro Police Downtown Area Command in appreciation of their outstanding work toward improving the downtown Las Vegas area.

From Southern California to Las Vegas, Nevada

Born in Escondido, Southern California, in 1999, Wyatt Cowan moved with his family to Las Vegas at the age of three and has lived there ever since. He gets his strong work ethic from his parents: Kay, who is originally from Thailand, and Bruce, an American of mixed heritage. His parents spent most of their lives in Southern California, where most of Wyatt’s family still lives, before making the trek to Vegas.

As a youngster, soccer played a big role in Wyatt’s life, and he still loves the game. He also loves snowboarding and the thrill of making it down a vertical western mountainside as quickly as one can. He makes it up to beautiful Heavenly Valley, which overlooks Lake Tahoe, as often as he can snowboard on a sunny day following a big snowstorm. He also enjoys snowboarding in Southern Utah, which is only three hours from Vegas.

Wyatt also enjoys swimming, hiking in national parks, working out, watching classic films, learning history, listening to music, and watching professional and college football, hockey, basketball, and UNLV games.

A Real Foodie

Living in Las Vegas and experiencing the city’s fabulous and vibrant cuisine has inspired Wyatt to become an aficionado of great food, so much so that he has taken up cooking as a hobby. New restaurants are frequent, and the food scene is constantly expanding – from Chinatown, where the cuisine is representative of many different countries, to the Arts District, which boasts top restaurants, East Fremont, and the Water District in Henderson. Many of the top chefs on the Las Vegas Strip are opening new restaurants, and you can find some of the best establishments off the Strip. Wyatt enjoys Japanese, Korean, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, and French food. He also loves pizza, burger spots, and American Chop House restaurants.

His Love of Travel

Wyatt’s love of travel was also instilled at young, with visits to 11 countries and counting already under his belt. He loves to learn about other cultures and their history.

A Graduate of UNLV

Wyatt Cowan graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2021 with a degree in Business Management. He was also a member of the Delta Chi fraternity.

The View Ahead Is Bright

Wyatt’s goals are to purchase a house in the next few years, meet a future wife, and raise a family. He also wants to give back to the city that he loves by continuing to support the arts.
